Bride

I'll never forget June 2, 2011.  It was a beautiful summer day, the week was almost over and I was looking forward to our plans for the weekend.

I was on my way home from work when Sunny called to say hi (which was odd because I was going to see him at home). I told him that I'd be home in 5 minutes and he said he'd be there in 20 minutes (I thought he was at the store getting dinner).  He wasn't....

20 minutes go by, I'm relaxing from the day and I hear Sunny's car pull into the driveway.  As I go to open the door (expecting him to have grocery bags in his hands), I see that he's carrying a big bouquet of roses and he's dressed up.  He comes into the house and seems nervous.

When I asked him what the roses were for, Sunny said "because I love you.  And I have another present for you"; then he pulled a ringbox out of his pants pocket, got down on 1 knee and asked me to marry him!

I stood there, holding the roses, staring at him, and in total shock, said "are you serious???" Then I realized that I forgot to say one very small but important word and said "YES!!!" Sunny slide the engagement ring on my finger and stood up.  He was still shaking from being nervous and I was shaking from the shock & excitement of the moment.

It was the most perfect moment for the 2 of us that I'll never forget!

Groom

When I finished my shift that Thursday, I took my first paycheque from my new job and drove straight to the jewellery store.  I came home, changed my clothes, went to the flower shop and waited there until Jen came home.

The rest is a blur until she said Yes.
