We are both well into our 50's and we have a great story that most of you have already heard but keep reading because there's a lot of good stuff in here.
We met in high school in San Antonio when we were 16 years old, we dated in "college" (college for Beth, other things for Bob) for while,  broke up (a couple of times) then both ended up in Austin.  We went on to live out our lives with jobs, marriages, divorces, and kids but we did manage to keep in touch with a lunch now and then over the years.  
We had our share of highs and lows like everyone; loves and losses, job highs and lows, births and deaths, joys and heartbreaks and long, painful crises.
Two years ago, the week my divorce was finalized, Bob and I ran into each other at a Taco Cabana, a place neither one us of ever visited, especially at 3:00 pm on a Sunday.
It was an unbelievable, amazing, and fateful chance meeting.
The next week we started seeing each other as friends and eventually started dating. 
Now we are finally getting married all these years later.

The last two year have been some of the happiest of my life.  I am so grateful to have Bob in my life.  Grateful for his support, love, and understanding of my good days and especially the bad ones.
I am so proud of him for listening to all my life coaching, hearing me, actually putting in to practice and even using that knowledge to coach other.  To me, this is something incredibly special.  I was going to add for a man or someone our age but I don't really think a qualifier is required.  It's astonishing for anyone to change. Change is always hard even if it's a positive change.
I'm grateful that we have meaningful discussion and not fights and that he's always there to give me a hug even if we're not each other's favorite person at the time.

Bob is a wonderful partner and I'm so fortunate to have him with me on this journey.
