Dorell and I will be celebrating our marriage at the Grand Palladium Jamaica and Lady Hamilton Resorts and Spa, in Montego Bay, Jamaica!  Here is a link to their website: http://www.grandpalladiumladyhamilton.com/

Dorell and I land in Jamaica on Wednesday, July 6.  The next evening, July 7, we will host a welcome gathering at one of the bars on the resort, yet to be determined, from about 7pm til whenever. You can find us relaxing at the beach or pool on Friday, July 8; we hope you will join us for a rum punch or 6!  On July 9, our wedding ceremony will be at 4pm on the beach, followed by photos and a buffet dinner. We will be hosting a beach party from 8-10 PM, where snacks and cake will be served.  We will continue the party after 10 with live music and dancing throughout the resort. Don't party too hard though, because we hope to see you at brunch, around 10 am the next morning.  Dorell and I leave on Tuesday, July 12.

Transportation between Sangster International Airport (MBJ) and the Grand Palladium can be arranged through this company: http://www.caribicvacations.com/ You can also contact Laverne Huggins directly: transport@caribicvacations.com Many of our guests will be in Jamaica from Thursday to Monday, so you may be able to contact each other to plan group transportion. It is a 50 minute drive, and is $30 per person, round trip. 

Jamaica is hot, especially in July.  Please make sure to pack your shorts, sundresses, and swimsuits. Gentlemen, you can leave your three-piece suit at home, although some of the restaurants will require long pants. Other items you will need include sunscreen and insect repellent.  Dorell and I will be packing plenty of extra bottles to share in case your own supply runs low. Don't forget to update your passport.

For those of you with smart phones, you may want to consider downloading the The Grand Palladium Resort app   After signing in with your room number, you can make reservations for the restaurants and spas, and also contact other guests.  The majority of the resort is equipped with WiFi, so using apps like Facebook messenger and What'sApp to communicate with each other shouldn't be a problem, either. 

Another fun app to consider downloading is WedPics.  By using the Wedding ID AngandD7916, you can upload and categorize photos for all of the events of our wedding to one space.  Of course, Facebook and Instagram posts are also appreciated, but WedPics is a private photo sharing app; only people using our wedding ID will be able to see the photos posted. Don't forget, you can't publically post photos of Angela on the morning of the wedding before Dorell gets to see her!  ;-)

We are both Hunter College alum.  We earned our Bachelor's degrees from Hunter during years that we believe may have briefly overlapped, without ever bumping into each other.   We did meet, however, at the beginning of our Master's degree program in English Education.  A few lesson plans and a stint in Wisconsin later, here we are tying the knot! 

Dorell and I have registered with the Grand Palladium Resorts and Spa.  The link to this registry is on the top of this page.  We are also registered with Bed Bath and Beyond, and Crate and Barrel.  The greatest gift of all though, is your presence at our ceremony.
